It’s hot in the morning and hail in the afternoon! A day in Guangzhou is a weather fantasy trip. Obviously, this fantasy journey is not over yet. The No.3 typhoon "Yinhe" just passed in a hurry this year, and the No.4 typhoon "Nida" has been officially generated. Although the name sounds enchanting, this typhoon is still strengthening, and the landing destination may have locked in Guangdong, making it the first typhoon to land in Guangdong this year!

The highest temperature yesterday was 36.5℃

At 18: 30 yesterday, the typhoon center was more than 1,000 kilometers away from Guangzhou, and Guangzhou has already experienced the weather "six countries sealed off". First of all, the sunny and hot days continued in the morning, and the temperature soared, recording the highest temperature of 36.5℃. Guangzhou Meteorological Observatory issued the third high-temperature orange warning signal this month. Generally speaking, it is a hot day when the temperature exceeds 35℃. Yesterday, Guangzhou was a real hot day.

According to the monitoring of the Provincial Meteorological Observatory, during the daytime yesterday, most of Guangdong was controlled by the subtropical high, and there was a large range of high temperature of 35 ~ 38℃, of which 10 cities and counties recorded 38 ~ 39℃, 6 cities and counties recorded 39 ~ 40℃, and Shixing recorded the highest temperature in the whole province of 40.2℃. The corresponding high temperature warning signals in various places were still in effect yesterday evening. In addition, due to the fluctuation of the east wind, scattered thunderstorms occurred in Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Heyuan, Meizhou, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Zhuhai and other cities and counties in the afternoon, and some areas recorded strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and strong winds of magnitude 8 or above, with heavy local rain.

It’s still hot today, so beware of heavy rain and strong winds.

The Meteorological Observatory predicts that due to the joint influence of the subtropical ridge and the typhoon’s peripheral downward flow, there will still be a large range of high temperature of 35 ~ 38℃ in Guangdong during the day from today to tomorrow, and the weather will continue to be hot everywhere. In the afternoon, there will be thunderstorms in some cities and counties, accompanied by short-term winds of magnitude 8 or above. From August 1 ST to 3 rd, affected by typhoon, Guangdong will have a rainstorm and windy weather process.

Today, most of Guangdong is hot and hot. In the afternoon, some cities and counties have thunderstorms and local heavy rains, and thunderstorms are accompanied by short-term winds of magnitude 8 or above. The highest temperature is 35 ~ 38℃, and some cities and counties in northern and western Guangdong reach above 39℃.

Tomorrow during the day, most of our province will be hot and hot, with the highest temperature ranging from 35 to 38℃, and some cities and counties in northern and western Guangdong will reach above 39℃. The cities and counties in eastern Guangdong turned cloudy to moderate thunderstorm with partial heavy rain, and the rest cities and counties were cloudy with (thunder) showers.

From tomorrow night to August 3, due to the typhoon, there will be heavy rain to heavy rain in eastern Guangdong and Pearl River Delta, and heavy rain to heavy rain in western Guangdong and northern Guangdong.

In the afternoon, it changed face and hail.

However, yesterday, just as everyone thought that the heat would run through Saturday, local thunderstorms appeared in Baiyun District, Haizhu District and Panyu District in the afternoon. In the severe convective weather, citizens in many places uploaded pictures of local hail.

Speaking of it, the thunderstorm was not obvious. Huangshi Street in Baiyun District recorded the maximum rainfall of 40 mm (the maximum rainfall of one hour was 39.3 mm). As of 5 pm yesterday, Wushan Observatory only recorded 0.3 mm of precipitation. However, when it rains, lightning flashes and thunder rumbles, and the hail brushes and falls, the weather is still very bad.

  The shrew "Nida" is coming.

The typhoon didn’t come this year. Recently, the enthusiasm for "going to work" is very high. Typhoons 2, 3 and 4 were generated one after another. The meteorological department monitored that at 20 o’clock the day before yesterday, the tropical disturbance originally located on the western Pacific Ocean had developed into a tropical depression. At 17: 00 yesterday, the tropical depression intensified into typhoon Nida (tropical storm level) No.4 this year. Its center is located on the western Pacific Ocean about 510 kilometers east of Manila, Philippines, and the maximum wind force near the center is 8 (18 m/s). "Nida" is a name provided by Thailand, which means "a woman’s name".

Nida will never be a gentle typhoon. The Meteorological Observatory predicts that the tropical storm will move to the northwest at a speed of about 20 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will gradually increase. After entering the northeastern part of the South China Sea at night, its intensity will obviously increase, and the strongest intensity can reach the strong typhoon level, which is about 14. By then, its moving speed will be obviously accelerated, and then it will quickly move towards the sea surface of Guangdong, which will seriously affect Guangdong around August 2.

Originally, generally speaking, the first typhoon that landed in China every year landed in Guangdong, followed by Taiwan Province and Hainan. Most of the first typhoons landed in Guangdong, mainly because Guangdong’s own coastline is relatively long, and at the same time, the favorable atmospheric circulation situation guided typhoons to South China. However, the typhoon came late this year and the atmospheric circulation situation was different, so the first station did not land in Guangdong.

Jiangmen was hit by hail yesterday.

Guangzhou Daily Jiangmen News (Reporter Yan Jianguang) After a day of baking, at 5 o’clock in the evening yesterday, heavy rain suddenly fell in Xinhui, Pengjiang, Heshan and other places in Jiangmen, and there was hail in Xinhui and other places!

Yesterday morning, Jiangmen issued a high-temperature warning, and in the afternoon, it issued a rainstorm warning. However, around 5 pm, Jiangmen suddenly became overcast, and at 5: 30, it suddenly began to hail in Xu Xinhui, Pengjiang and Heshan. According to Mr. Lin, a resident of Xinhui, who is in his 50 s this year, he has never seen such a big hail in Xinhui for decades. "It’s so sudden!" He said.
